Where to Mount a K100 on Your UTV: Clearance Before Installation

A compatible roll bar does not automatically make every location a good mounting location. Before mounting a KSPEAKER K100, decide where it can sit without interfering with the people, panels, roof hardware, or gear that share the UTV cage.

Begin with the UTV parked

Keep the UTV parked and powered off while you compare locations. Sit in the driver and passenger positions as you normally would, then get in and out of the vehicle. This gives you a better picture of where heads, hands, helmets, doors, nets, and shoulder restraints travel around the cage.

Consider a front crossbar location

A front overhead crossbar may put the soundbar closer to the front seating area, but it also deserves the most careful clearance check. Look at the roof edge, windshield, rear-view mirror, visor area, doors or nets, and the path used to enter and exit. Check both occupants, not only the driver. Do not assume a location is clear simply because the bar itself is available.

Consider a rear crossbar location

A rear mounting position can change which accessories need attention. Check cargo, rear seats, roof supports, harness hardware, and anything that moves or is removed for service. Make sure the K100 and its clamps will not rest against another component when the vehicle flexes, is loaded, or is transported.

Keep controls and service access practical

Choose a location that lets you inspect the mounting hardware and reach connections when parked. Do not plan on changing music, lighting, or audio settings while driving. Before committing, confirm that the controls and source device can be handled safely with the vehicle stopped.

Use a clearance walk-around

• Check head and helmet space from every occupied seat.
• Check hands, doors, nets, and the entry path.
• Check the roof, windshield, mirrors, lights, and harness equipment.
• Check cargo and rear-seat space if the vehicle uses them.
• Confirm the location still permits a sensible 12V cable route and future inspection.
